Leading ventilation manufacturer S&P UK has announced the launch of its first-ever sustainable in-line ventilation fan, the TD EVO PF ECOWATT.
The unveiling marks a huge step in the manufacturer’s sustainability commitment with the new in-line fan being made from 85% recycled plastics – including drink bottles, milk cartons, and laundry detergent containers that would otherwise be sent for landfill or our oceans.
The energy-efficient TD EVO PF ECOWATT continues the benefits of S&P UK’s existing TD range of in-line, mixed-flow duct fans with no changes in design, efficiency, or performance.
The unit has also been awarded the prestigious Quiet Mark certification, the internationally-recognised accreditation for low-noise products.
“We’re excited and proud to be launching our first sustainable, energy-efficient in-line ventilation unit into the UK marketplace.” says S&P UK Managing Director Alex Finch.
“Sustainability offers real opportunities for the HVAC manufacturing industry, and we’re pleased to be taking the first step in this journey.
“We’re delighted to be helping to establish the HVAC industry as a flagbearer for sustainability that makes a real, immediate and long-lasting difference.”
The launch of the new TD EVO PF ECOWATT’s aligns with a wider sustainability commitment from the manufacturing sector to comply with UK legislation with the Environment Act 2021, aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050.
The new in-line variant maintains high efficiency with featured sealed rubber gaskets designed to prevent any air leakage between the appliance and the ducts. It also boasts variable functionality allowing for required airflow rates to be set, as well as a brushless EC motor that features the option for 100% speed adjustment.
The range comprises seven diameters and covers a flow range from 190 to 1780 m3/h, while the optimised design of the impeller, guide vane and outlet diffuser increases performance whilst reducing sound levels to a minimum.
Alex Finch added: “The TD EVO PF ECOWATT represents an important first step in becoming a more sustainable HVAC manufacturer.
“We pledge to continue to invest in leading research and development to further improve our green credentials and offer sustainable alternatives.”
