With COVID-19 disrupting the energy mix globally and the demand for oil and gas plummeting, many countries have now released their green recovery plan with hydrogen production being at the forefront. Hydrogen is now labelled as the fuel of the future, with all the super major oil and gas companies committing to green hydrogen production, ammonia now has a key role to play.
Ammonia’s chemical compound, consisting of NH3 positions itself to be the perfect carrier of hydrogen fuel supplying hydrogen to different countries that would normally import oil and gas to meet its energy demands. Ammonia can also be a key component to help decarbonise the maritime and shipping sectors as an alternative fuel source.
The European Green Ammonia & Hydrogen Decarbonisation Summit will address the latest developments and opportunities across green ammonia and hydrogen sectors. It will determine strategies for greater decarbonisation of the energy intensive industries, shipping and maritime sectors. It will bring together 250+ decarbonisation policy makers, industry and innovators, the two day summit will address approaches for accelerating the rollout of innovative decarbonising technologies.

The meeting place for the renewable and low carbon energy community
All-Energy takes pride in being the UK’s largest low carbon energy and full supply chain renewables event for private and public sector energy end users.
The next live edition of All-Energy & Dcarbonise is taking place in May 2022 at the SEC, Glasgow.
In the meantime, we’ll be hosting Dcarbonise Week – Virtual Sustainability Summit in autumn 2021. A pre-COP26 week-long Virtual Summit, Dcarbonise Week will provide exceptional education and guidance from industry leading experts involved in clean energy, transport, cities, industry, travel, and farming all with clear messages for the global summit, the green recovery, and a Just Transition.
It almost goes without saying that we are very disappointed to not be going ahead with a live event in August. But we know that Dcarbonise Week will most certainly make for an interesting and informative substitute this year and it will build on the incredible success of our Webinar Series, which between May 2020 and March 2021 has seen 30 webinars created and nearly 20,000 ‘views’ either live or ‘on demand’. All of our past webinars are also available on-demand, straight from our content hub.
